Saunders + Wiant Architects are pleased to present our new website. The contents of this site presents a small window into our world of design, which we hope will give you an idea of the range and scope of our work, and a little of our capabilities.
Among the new website features are an updated photo gallery, with additional project information, and scaled floor plan views of selected projects for reference. In addition to clarification of categories, the website organization has been streamlined, with cross-linking of pages for easier navigation. The expanded business services section details our specialties, and reaching out to the design community at large, our monthly blog will feature articles giving insights on those particular areas of interest and expertise.
To stay abreast with the latest in architectural practice, technology, art and business, we keep a strong commitment to on-going education, mentorship and research. In recent years we have forged strong ties with our local AIA (American Institute of Architects) and internationally with the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects). Recent well-attended Newport Beach events organized in conjunction with AIAOC, include our lectures series featuring expert speakers on several diverse topics; Bird Safe Architecture and; Architecture for Space. This May 2015 we are assisting with the RIBA’s USA region Annual General Meeting at the AIA Convention in Atlanta.
Technology and practice in architecture is a fast evolving world, with new codes, standards, products and building techniques emerging every day. In-house training and mentorship are important to us. Each year we undertake training of new interns and others seeking a career in architecture. To tap into new resources, we are regular subscribers to the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH), the Healthcare Design Academy (HCD) and the Green Building Research Institute (GBRI).
